Geocaching is a relatively new activity that combines treasure hunting, hiking, and the Global Positioning System or GPS. A new product that is 100% dedicated to geocaching is the Magellan eXplorist GC which was built for the premium geocaching experience. It is designed for the novice as well as the most seasoned geocacher and is guaranteed to provide you with all the tricks of the trade.

The Magellan eXplorist GC supports paperless geocaching which will allow you to download more than 20 unique characteristics of each cache, including the name, location, description, hider, size, difficulty, terrain, hint, spoilers, attributes, and the last 20 user logs among a number of other details. It also comes pre-loaded with the most popular geocaches so you can just literally turn it on and go.

Renting a Car

My family and I needed to go to San Francisco from San Diego. We decided to do some sight-seeing and rented a car. For a few extra dollars, they would install a GPS. It was not like our Garmin Dakota 10 but it did pretty well. We got a good deal on the car because we were going to rent it for a week and would even drop it off at the same place.

There are really some pretty good deals with car rentals. This is our first time to rent that’s why I was surprised with the good prices. I thought it would be prohibitive, but then thinking about it if it’s prohibitive then nobody would rent so it does make sense. I wonder why I never thought of that before. Renting a car while sight-seeing is a good way to see places.
