GPS——Do you really know what it stands for? (Global Positioning Service). GPS actually is what makes our lives what is today. Without GPS our cell phones wouldn’t work, even the good old phone on the wall wouldn’t work. Today, almost everybody has a cell phones but they also have gps as an application on it.
In the last couple of years GPS has become a luxury option in most automobiles. It’s a lazy way to get around not having to stop and ask for directions, but the in-dash gps system has gotten to be one of the options that most people look for when buying a car, truck, or suv.
The GPS system is maintained by the military, congress, and many dignitaries from around the world. It is constantly being monitored and is being updated on a daily bases.
